Guillotine is operated by James Taylor, a sole trader trading as Guillotine. References to “we”, “us” and “our” in this policy refer to that business.

The Guillotine trade mark and brand are owned by 1793 Limited and used under licence. This policy concerns our retail business and its supply chain.

Our Commitment
We support the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and are committed to conducting our business ethically and responsibly.

We do not tolerate slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, human trafficking or unlawful child labour in our business or supply chain.

Supplier Expectations
We expect suppliers and business partners to comply with applicable employment and human rights laws, treat workers fairly and ensure that work is undertaken voluntarily.

We expect suppliers to take reasonable steps to prevent exploitation within their own operations and supply chains and to cooperate in addressing any concerns raised.

Assessing and Addressing Risks
We aim to take a proportionate, risk-based approach to understanding our supply chain and identifying potential exploitation.

Where concerns arise, we will seek further information and consider appropriate action. Depending on the circumstances, this may include requesting evidence of working practices, seeking corrective action or reconsidering a supplier relationship.

Our priority when responding to concerns will include the safety and welfare of anyone who may be affected.

Reporting Concerns
We encourage suppliers, customers and others to report concerns about slavery, forced labour, unlawful child labour or human trafficking connected with our business or supply chain.

We will take reports seriously and handle them sensitively. Information will be shared only where reasonably necessary to investigate or address a concern, protect those affected or comply with the law.

We will not penalise anyone for raising a concern honestly, even if it is not subsequently substantiated.

Review
We will review this policy annually and when significant changes to our business or supply chain make an earlier review appropriate.

This policy is published voluntarily as a statement of our commitment to ethical trading.
